Hot Hot Hot

Hi hello, what’s new? It’s been a while since my last post, but honestly the job search is a full time job these days, if you know what I mean. Also, I’ve been doing some freelancing for my hometown magazine, which also requires a chunk of my time. Anywho, apparently the post-grad life is a tad busier than I had originally expected.

That being said, that didn’t stop my friend Ariella (you may remember her from her stint as fashionable friend of the month… #tbt to my consistent weekly posts).

So I hope you enjoy these pics she snapped of me trying to be normal in the 90 degree heat (cool front?) of Jacksonville, FL. Honestly, I think we’re both surprised we didn’t melt.

[Fun diabetes sidebar, the heat really brings down my blood sugar. I’ve been on a rollercoaster of lows all day. Le sigh, but not to worry, currently in the AC.]

First up: Bumble Bee Top and Jorts

Tip for fellow busty gals, choose a retro-vibe and go for a looser shirt with panelling in a shorter, structured oxford.

Shirt: Anthropologie

Shorts: JCPenny

Sandals: Century 21

Bag: Nordstrom Rack

Sunnies: Forever XXI

My awkward legs aside, love adding a pastel against darker, more basic colors.

Honestly no idea what I’m doing with my hands.

Next up:

Dress: Target

Sneakers: H&M

Sunnies: Forever XXI

New Hair Cut: Rio Hair Studio (holla)

While not my most fashionable of moments, it’s hard to wear anything for more than 3 hours at a time in the Florida heat. Soon after Ariella snapped this pic, we hopped in the pool. No worries, no sneakers or dresses were harmed in the making of this post.

Check back next week for another post!

Stay classy, sassy and cool!
